Indooroopilly Grasps Urban Foodie Market
Indooroopilly Shopping Centre is grasping the urban foodie trend with both hands, launching its Gourmet Fresh district this week.
That’s not just a rebranding of a food court, by the way. Gourmet Fresh is the place to shop for Brisbane foodies. Shoppers can stop in to get the very best for that night’s meal, from a top-end bakery, delicatessen, green grocer and a lot more.
For example, as Beef Central explains, the precinct includes a new-concept, high-end retail butchery—Cabassi & Co Artisan Butchers. It offers carefully selected quality meats and also a small serving area where customers can order up samplers of the delicious items on offer. There are also plans for guest butchers from overseas.
For a bit of conventional shopping, the center also has a brand new Woolworth’s location with a brand-new concept that is also focused on seasonal, local products.
This weekend, the center has celebrity chef Poh Ling Yeow, runner-up from MasterChef Australia, preparing cooking demonstrations live for shoppers.
