Helping Them to the Finish Line
St. Patrick’s day is the day of the second annual Great Topeka Bed Race, and West Ridge Mall shoppers are gearing up.
Last weekend, the mall hosted a Bed Building Party with Housing and Credit Counseling Inc, the organizers of the Bed Race. The race is a fundraiser that will help the organization bring credit counseling and education to people that need it. The party brought participants and prospective participants together to learn about the race and how to build a winning bed. It was a great opportunity to compare bed ideas and get ready to prepare the best racer.
The race has one rider on the bed and four pushers. There are cash prizes to be won, but most of the inspiration is in a fun event and a great cause.
