Halloween Hunt at City Square
Halloween seems like too much holiday for just one afternoon—how can you cram all the costumes and candy and celebration into a few short hours? City Square Shopping Centre hasn’t. The center has been inviting shoppers into its Halloween festivities since October 18, and it’s just wrapping up now.
To get everyone into the Halloween spirit, the center set up a spooky Witch’s Kitchen across its window displays and sent shoppers on a Scavenger Hunt. Anyone under the age of 14 could participate, and those that took the time to find all the items on the list had a chance to win a Playstation Vita bundle.
Anyone who brought a completed ballot into the center’s admin office also got a special surprise—a coupon for a free kid’s hot chocolate at Starbucks.
Of course no one can dress up every day from the 18th to the 31st, so the center constrained its biggest holiday celebrations to this past Saturday. Along with Trick-or-Treating, there were magic shows, face painting and pumpkin decorating by donation (proceeds went to UNICEF).
There was also a huge collection of prizes to be won, from a Wii U deluxe set to gift bundles from a wide swath of center retailers. To enter, little ones simply had to visit retailers for treats and get their trick-or-treating map stamped along the way.
