Games for All
As we approach the 2010 Winter Olympics, the world prepares to visit Vancouver, Canada. Tickets are in high demand, and visitors and locals will have large gaps in their Olympic scheduling to fill.
Park Royal Shopping Centre is ready to step in and offer those with Olympic Fever a few great ways to pass the time. The shopping center is planning a Winter Carnival that will keep the excitement going.
The main attraction is a Guinness World Record attempt at the world’s longest hockey game. For 17 days, players will hit the ice 24 hours a day. Here’s hoping it doesn’t go into overtime!
The shopping center is also turning its outdoor mall into a public skating rink. And between outdoor activities, visitors can warm up in the beverage tent or at the concert stage, watch the Games and catch local music acts.
Park Royal is still looking for sponsors for the event, which will be free and open to all.
