Galleria At Tyler Gets Its Knit On
Is your center knitter-friendly? Galleria at Tyler is. Earlier this month, the center invited knitters in for World Wide Knit in Public Day.
Why knit in public? Knitting is such a solitary thing, and with sewing and knitting circles rather out of fashion, it can be a bit of an isolating hobby. World Wide Knit in Public Day is a chance for knitters to get out of their house with knitting in tow and meet the people who share their favorite pastime.
It’s the largest knitter-run event in the world, put together by volunteers. It’s grown massively since it started in 2005, and communities come together to host. Sometimes it’s stores, other times its farmer’s markets or even lawns. This year Galleria at Tyler got in the act, giving knitters in Riverside California a chance to gather and meet.
