Forest Hill Chase Meets a LEGO Master

Last month, Forest Hill Chase launched its brand-new entertainment precinct. To mark the milestone and celebrate the opening, it put on nearly a month of LEGO entertainment.

Between November 7 and 27, the center gave shoppers the chance to win a trip to LEGOLAND in California. With a minimum $50 purchase, they could enter to win a family trip for two adults and two kids. It’s a trip from Melbourne to LA, complete with airfare, accommodation and admission, a value of $10,000.

And there was a lot more fun to be had. The center brought in Ryan McNaught, The Brickman. He’s one of 13 LEGO Certified Professionals in the world. He brought in some of his best works, including a giant Love Boat re-creation and a replica of 101 Collins St.

The “LEGO Love Boat” is made up of over 250,000 pieces and measures just over 3 meters long and 1 meter high. The ship is fully crewed and has over 450 minifigs enjoying their cruise.

“The ship of course has all the Love Boat crew on-board as well as a whole series of 80’s washed up TV stars including none other than the Hoff,” said McNaught.

If shoppers wanted to exercise their own creativity, they had a great opportunity. With 30,000 bricks to build with, they could create anything they put their mind to, building part of a communal masterpiece.
