Football Fun from The Potteries and Irene Village Mall
There’s a World Cup fever building with only a week to go until kick off. This week we have a couple malls continents apart that both want to help get kids excited for the big event.
The Potteries has put together a scavenger hunt for football fans with its Football Passport. Each week during the World Cup, shoppers can collect a sticker representing one world cup team from participating retailers. Kids who manage to put together the whole passport can enter with their vital information (including “Favourite Football Player” and “Favourite Football Team”), and one lucky participant will take home a framed, signed Stoke City FC jersey. The passport also serves as a game schedule and a catalog for football merchandise available at the UK shopping center.
Meanwhile, Irene Village Mall (whose slogan is “the udder side of life”) is getting ready for school holidays with The Udder Side of Soccer. Aside from more typical art and music workshops, the South African shopping center is offering several soccer themed activities. Soccer technique workshops will help kids get their own game on, and tenant soccer tournaments should prove entertaining to all.
