Fairview Park Takes Shoppers South for the Holidays
Fairview Park Mall has been encouraging locals to Go South for their holiday shopping…to the southern edge of town, where the center is located.
“Go South for the Holidays” started out with a guerrilla marketing event. A four-person team took to the streets to get shoppers interested in heading south. Dressed in bright red jackets, red sneakers and summer hats, the team members lugged decalled suitcases behind them, promoting Fairview Park retailers. They visited popular local events to hand out passports to lucky locals.
That team handed out over 4000 passports, and more were available at Guest Services. Shoppers who have their passports stamped at 3 participating retailers and show same-day receipts totaling at least $100 can enter to win $1000 toward a trip to a destination much further south.
