Encouraging Ideas
We have a couple nice, economy-conscious ideas out of Canadian shopping centers this week.
St. Laurent Centre has installed a “Fair Change” coin counter. The shopping center has encouraged shoppers to gather up their spare coins and turn them into fashionable finds by visiting the counter, which converts their coinage into shopping center gift cards. Shoppers can feel economically responsible by collecting and spending coins that would be otherwise abandoned.
Centerpoint Mall, meanwhile, is helping out its retailers with a regular “Employee Picks” page. The shopping center speaks to employees from five fashion retailers, who recommend their favorite items, trends and fashions from their stores. The pages have a lot of visual appeal, and are sure to grab shoppers attention with a personal touch.
