Edmonton City Centre in Teal

411unignorableJust as pink is the color of breast cancer awareness, Teal has become the international color of ovarian cancer awareness. To help build that awareness, teal is also the color of the Edmonton City Centre Spring Fashion campaign.

The statement the center is making with its campaign is “Unignorable”—specifically, “Let’s make Ovarian Cancer Unignorable,” but it works for fashion remarkably well too.

Teal hasn’t become as ubiquitous as pink, but the center is doing what it can to make that happen. It began with its first Tailored in Teal Fashion Show earlier this week, showcasing this season’s trends, all with a touch of teal. The center is also encouraging shoppers to make themselves Unignorable with a contest to win a $1000 gift card. All they have to do is take photos of themselves in teal and post it to the center’s Facebook page for a chance to win.
