Eastgate Boosts the Census
You might think of the Census as nothing more than a chore that pops up every five or ten years. Clermont County officials are hoping to change that for the people in their communities with a Census Pep Rally at Eastgate Mall.
As US census results have a direct impact on local funding, officials are hoping to get locals engaged and interested in the 2010 census. The Pep Rally is the real thing – cheerleaders, pep bands and dance teams will get shoppers excited in advance of a visit from the 2010 Census Portrait of America Road Tour, where they can learn all about the census. Local leaders will then bring it home with a discussion of the importance of the Census results to the community.
