Darling Quarter Exhibits Creative Design

1107billyblueSydney’s Darling Quarter is playing host to a student graduate show this week, but it’s not your typical gallery art show. Students from the Billy Blue College of Design (BBCD) will be displaying work from across the five creative disciplines, in an an exhibition described as ten steps ahead of the rest.

How far ahead? Well, visitors will have a chance to watch a student brew fluoride-free, organic beer. Or walk through an interactive wardrobe with 360 degree spin technology.

The exhibition promises to take the audience on a “journey of multi-sensory illusion,” says Lulu Ruttley, Strategic Project Manager of the BBCD exhibition. “It’s the creative nature and the cross pollination of streams. It’s unbelievable actually, what happens once you combine the different disciplines. At Billy Blue the output is exceptional and it’s at industry standard as well.”

The event is well-suited to Darling Quarter, which has one of the largest and most spectacular children’s playgrounds in Australia. Creativity and interactivity are the point where Darling Quarter and BBCD meet.
