Dalton Park Sends Shoppers Up Mountains

Dalton Park will climb mountains if it helps a good cause—or at least it will encourage its shoppers to do so. It’s working to support Metro Radio’s ‘3 Peak Challenge.’

The challenge is quite the steep one: participants will climb the highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in 13 hours. The goal times are Ben Nevis in 5 hours, Scafell Pike in 4 hours and Snowdon in 4 hours. It’s not a challenge for the faint of heart: Metro Radio is looking for participants who can meet the fitness requirements of the goal.

There are two options, a one-day attempt and a three-day attempt. To make sure shoppers are up for the challenge, the organization has 6-month fitness plans and kit lists. Therein lies the benefit for Dalton Park in supporting the plan: participants are encouraged to visit the outlet center to find all the supplies they need at cut-rate prices.

The challenge supports Cash for Kids, a non-profit established to deliver initiatives for sick and underprivileged children in local communities and give them a better and brighter future. The money for the charity will come from sponsorship pledges for participants, at a minimum of £600 for the one-day challenge and £700 for the 3 day challenge.
