Coquitlam Centre Gets Unwrapped

We’ve been keeping an eye on Coquitlam Centre’s Unwrapped charity shopping night since it launched four years ago. The center has found it very successful—to date it’s raised over $205,000.

This year it’s bigger than ever, with over 70 partnered charity and non-profit organizations. Each of those organizations will sell the $10 tickets for the evening, bringing in, the center hopes, over $70,000 total between them.

As always, the center will keep it classy with wine, craft and import beers, and spirits all available for tastings. Local restaurants sponsoring the evening will provide food tasting samples. And Glam stations will be set up throughout the center, offering an extra-relaxing selection of mini-makeovers and pampering experiences.

Once sufficiently glamorous and cheerful, Santa will be on hand for fun, relaxed photos with these special shoppers. A box of props will be available, and the shots are free with a donation to the food bank.

A charitable night of shopping wouldn’t be much without shopping, and the center has that entirely under control. After sneak peeks of the season’s fashions and holiday trends, shoppers will enjoy one-night only specials at retailers throughout the center. And with $16,000 in prize draws over the course of the night, there are plenty of happy surprises planned.
