Some Australian malls are encouraging shoppers to keep coming back by offering collectible sets of free gifts. Chatswood Chase is focused on marketing its new selection of fresh food retailers, so it’s offering shoppers a free gourmet Donna Hay cookbook with a $100 purchase from those select retailers. There are four cookbooks available in total, and one will be on offer each week.

GPT shopping centers are using a similar tactic, offering a set of stacking food containers over a three week period with purchases of $30 or $50 depending on the retailer.
