Colombo cares for the environment
Colombo is helping shoppers in Lisbon, Portugal take care of the environment.
An event earlier this month focused on biodiversity. It’s not a topic that gets enough attention with so many more visible crises occurring all around us, but it’s still vitally important. Colombo hoped to teach children and families about threatened ecosystems around the globe. The center showed off a giant globe covered in the plants and animals of the world, and held activities that exhibited some of the at-risk species that need help. Educating children is a great way to drive ecological change in families.
Colombo is also distributing energy-saving kits for shoppers’ homes. The kits mostly focus on efficient lighting, since lighting is a major source of energy waste. To take home one of the kits, shoppers can fill out a questionnaire that discusses their current energy-saving habits.
