Christown Spectrum Mall Celebrates the Troops
As the years slip by, it’s easy to forget that there are folks at risk on foreign soil. Next month, Christown Spectrum Mall is going to help show those folks they are loved and remembered with its Red White and True Blue Heroes event.
The center is devoting a Saturday to caring for the troops. The main priority is to help the Military Family Support Group pack special holiday care packages for Arizona troops overseas. Kids can also get involved by creating special holiday cards for the troops.
The rest of the day’s events offer up an American extravaganza: The center will have replicas of historical buildings, including the White House and Independence Hall. Shoppers will have the chance to sign the “Constitution.” There will also be an official Navy vehicle on-hand to get a close look at, a pull-up bar contest, photo ops with George Washington, Uncle Sam, Abe Lincoln and the Statue of Liberty, live music, photo galleries and an American Flag exhibit.
