Christmas Shopping is for the Kids at Coquitlam Centre

There are a lot of great, exclusive shopping nights hitting over the next week or two. We’ve told you about a couple this year, and they’ve all got different strengths. But they all have one thing in common: they all target adults.

Coquitlam Centre turns that trend on its head with its first annual Kids’ Shopping Night. One night only, from 5 pm till 8 pm, the mall is going all out to meet the shopping needs of the younger set.

Of course, it’s not quite as exclusive as many of the late-night holiday events. After all, Mom and Dad are invited, too. But it’s just as festive and welcoming. Kids are invited to come to shop in their pajamas (which should make it a memorable night out). The center has prepared holiday activity stations including a milk andcookie decorating station, an arts and crafts station, a place to write letters to Santa, storytime, photos with mascots and more.

For youngsters that have a gift list to check off, many retailers will put out displays of gifts under $25. And the center has free gift wrapping available for the evening so little hands don’t need to mess about with scissors and tape.
