A Christmas to Remember
Here’s a holiday event that could melt even the coldest heart:
Northpark Mall is working with the Joplin Humane Society to bring shoppers its First Annual Tree of Remembrance Ceremony. For a five dollar donation to the Humane Society, shoppers can dedicate a light on the mall’s Christmas tree to a beloved pet.
Then at the ceremony a poem will be read in remembrance of those beloved family members and the tree will be lit up for the season. After the lighting, each pet’s name will be read out and a final tribute will be read.
Finally, Santa will join in for a night of pet photos.
