Century City Opens Park for Small Dogs

Westfield is dipping its toes into pet-friendly shopping this month with the launch of Westfield Century City’s Small Dog Park.

The park is small, as are the dogs it services, but it’s a pretty big step for the company. As such, it’s being celebrated with a pretty big party, one for small dogs and their human buddies too. The Small Dog Paw-rty will mark the grand opening and ribbon cutting for the park, and it will also be great fun for any pet lover.

First up on the programme is a trip down the, err, catwalk for Westfield’s Next Top Mutt. One lucky winner will take home a year’s supply of dog food, but there are lots of other prizes to be won. Speaking of which, how does a ‘doggie and me’ shopping spree sound? There are a few of those up for grabs.

Snacks will be available for both people and pups. Face painting will likely focus on the humans, but the photobooth on site will be great for family pictures, four-legged friends included. Shoppers can also get in on a Louis Vuitton draw. Finally, those with even more love to give will have the chance to arrange pet adoptions with Much Love Animal Rescue, Bill Foundation and Lange Foundation.

Does your center welcome furry little family members? Let us know in the comments.

I wish Westfield would not lease pet stores that sell puppies in their malls.  It contributes to the deplorable puppy mill industry.  Not to mention cats and other animals as well that are irresponsibly bred.  Thank you.
