Botany Town Centre Customer Joins the Marketing Team

620britneyBack in December we brought you the news that Botany Town Centre had picked up a new community video blogger through a competition. Britney Hazeldine was just settling into her new role at the time, one that would see her take on a six-month stint of shopping at the center and filming the results.

Britney’s six month term just ended, but it’s not the end of her time at Botany Town Centre. Her work proved so popular that the center has brought her on in a permanent role. She’ll continue to create video blogs and will get to stay personally involved with retailers and shoppers. She’ll also take on mini-workshops run in-store competitions over the coming months.

Britney says she encountered many encouraging shoppers and retailers through the campaign process. “Meeting different people as I produced my video blogs for Botany Town Centre encouraged to write and make more quality videos for my existing blog. I feel I’ve personally evolved a lot through the process.”

AMPCSC senior marketing manager Desiree Clark also found the campaign a great benefit for the center.

“Both Botany Town Centre and Bayfair were already very active on social media before this campaign, so the dedicated bloggers gave the centres’ retailers an opportunity to engage an online audience. The response to both Britney and Kerry was great. Shoppers enjoyed having a local community member they could relate to as opposed to a polished advertising campaign using professional models.”
