Black Friday Rules at Tanger and MoA
It might have slipped your notice, but the U.S. is practically moments away from Black Friday — and a Happy Thanksgiving to you, if you’re sneaking a peak at your email today.
So what is your mall doing to celebrate? Are you planning extra special treats for the shivering shoppers waiting in line over night? Are you opening early, or skipping the Thursday night closing entirely?
Tanger Outlet Center Tilton plans to kick things off early with a Black Friday that actually starts on 10 pm Thursday. The first 200 shoppers in line at Tanger Shopper Services at the start of the festivities on Thanksgiving night will receive a free $10 Tanger gift card, but they aren’t the only ones who will get the benefit of being early birds. The first 100 shoppers in line at 2 am will get a $20 Tanger gift card. And from 2 am to 6 am, shoppers can register to win a flat screen TV, as long as they show up for the draw at 6:05 am.
Meanwhile, Mall of America is going big with a 50′ x 30′ MOA logo filled with hundreds of QR codes. Shoppers who are lucky enough to get a wristband will get to head up to the logo to snap one single code with their smartphones. They’ll each have a chance to win cash and prizes starting at $25 value, all the way up to one shopper winning a fabulous $1000 shopping spree.
