Beacon Bay’s Buggy Christmas Tree

You might want to stick this story in your note file for the 2013 holiday season, as it’s certainly a creative idea. You see, rather than go for something tradition, Beacon Bay Retail Park decided to try something a little different for their Christmas tree.

It wasn’t an easy process, swapping up the whole Christmas paradigm, but the center pulled it off. After months of sourcing and planning with TMCC, the decor company the center works with, the center revealed its masterpiece: a 6m Christmas tree designed with retail definitively in mind. The entire thing is built from shopping trolleys, each one beautifully lit in Christmas colors. Sitting just in front of the center’s front entrance, it’s a beacon (aha!) for holiday shopping.

Center marketing manager Natelie Kriel was called the response to the tree both positive and very pleasing. “The successful trade of the festive season is evident that the tree has worked its festive season charm,” she said. “We look forward to erecting our Trolley Tree annually and might have a few more surprises to come in future years.”
