Bayside’s Wonderland of Sand
Another week, and another center is headed down the rabbit hole: this time in service of sand art.
Bayside Shopping Centre has filled its halls with scenes from Alice in Wonderland carved in sand. It’s an extension of Sand Sculpting Australia’s StoryLand, a Sandstorm event on the Frankston Waterfront.
The carvings make a trail through the center that little shoppers can enjoy on their school holiday. They can visit Tweedledee and Tweedledum in the food court and the Queen of Hearts and Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on level 1.
Kids can pick up an activity sheet to answer questions about the sand sculptures in order to enter to win a Wii U.
Once they’re done exploring, they can also enjoy free sand art activity workshops. They’ll learn to paint with sand and take home a kit to enjoy later.
The cooperation between StoryLand and Bayside has one other benefit for shoppers and retailers alike. Visitors to StoryLand can pick up a program to be eligible to food offers from many of the center’s eateries. They can also use it to enter to win a $500 center gift card.
