Australian Shoppers are Ready to Rock
Westfield shoppers are ready to rock this month with the Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Battle Sessions.
Seeking to crown a Demi-God of Rock, several Westfield Australia centers are taking contest entries and offering jam sessions for Guitar Hero rockers excited for the release of the newest entry to the series. Those that want to prove their worth can register on the Battle Sessions website and play one of seven pre-release songs. If they can get high scores on expert difficulty on Dire Straits’ “Money for Nothing,” Avenged Sevenfold’s “Bat Country,” Muse’s “Uprising,” My Chemical Romance’s “I’m Not Okay (I Promise),” Soundgarden’s “Black Rain” or Black Sabbath’s “Children of the Grave,” they can submit the scores with a screenshot or photo to the contest website.
The top 20 players in each state will be invited to the State Finals at Westfield centers in each state capital. During the State Finals, every finalist will be asked to play a mystery track on Expert level – the track will be chosen from the original list of songs. One finalist and two runners up in each state will be chosen for their performance. The first place finalist will win quite the rockin’ prize package – a double pass to a Metallica concert and a meet and greet with the band, an Xbox 360, and a game pack. He or she will also progress to the National Grand Final at the Metallica concert at Acer Arena, with the chance to compete against other finalists for a Grand Prize of $10,000.
For shoppers that don’t rock quite as hard, there’s also a contest for the Battle Ready. Shoppers who feel they’re ready can submit a photo of themselves in full Rock Warrior gear (including a Guitar Hero controller) for a chance to win one of three awesome electronics packages.
