Ancient Egypt in Chocolate at Aberdeen Centre

Aberdeen Centre has had serious success with historical exhibits in the past – its Return of the First Emperor (which was covered in our print publications) drew a lot of attention, not in the least because the center had a giant sand sculpture of the Great Wall of China built for it.

Hopefully the magic will return, because this summer the center is bringing Tutankhamun to life with The Boy King of Egypt exhibition. There will be plenty of Tut-themed and Egyptian-themed activities and entertainment for shoppers to enjoy.

But the biggest eye-catcher is a massive interactive exhibit sponsored by Mars Company Inc. Mars is providing a huge quantity of M&Ms to the center for another original idea: The Great Pyramid and the Sphinx of Giza recreated entirely in chocolate candies. Aberdeen Centre brought in Mr. Dio Wong, a notable toy designer from Hong Kong, to lead the way in designing these chocolate giants, which may well break Guinness World Records. Mr. Wong will lead local art students in building the tasty sensation.

Should be a delicious August at Aberdeen Centre.
