Help those affected by the Australian bushfires
As you’ve probably heard, bushfires are burning across Victoria, Australia. At the time of this posting, 181 people have died in the fires, and while emergency workers are struggling to deal with the aftermath of those that have subsided, more have started. Our thoughts and prayers are with our Victorian readers.
The Australian Red Cross has made an appeal for donations, as has Wildlife Victoria. Many shopping centers have Red Cross representatives on hand to collect donations, but the Australian Red Cross also invites corporate partnerships for cause marketing initiatives.
Wildlife Victoria has lost at least two shelters in the fire already, and is urgently in need of donations. You can contact them for information about fundraising events, though they ask that people do not use their emergency phone line except to report injured wildlife.
