On the Move: Kem Blue


320kemRichmond, Virginia’s Short Pump Town Center has some exciting news to share: the center is welcoming Kem Blue as its Vice President/General Manager.

Blue is a 26-year veteran of the shopping center industry and has been with Forest City Enterprises since 2001. Most recently he served as Regional Vice President-Operations for the Denver/Central region, directing the management of 2 million square feet of retail and office properties. He also directed and coordinated the grand openings of Orchard Town Center and Northfield Stapleton, and was responsible for Forest City’s Third-Party Management Group overseeing the Las Vegas Town Square and Tanforan Shopping Center.

“Kem will be a tremendous asset to Short Pump Town Center as we celebrate 10 years of success in the Richmond community and shape the future,“ said Alan Schmiedicker, Senior Vice President Property Management. “Kem’s experience and track record of success will be invaluable as we continue to enhance this outstanding shopping destination.”

Blue is both a Senior Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) and Certified Marketing Director (CMD) with ICSC. He also has a B.A. from the University of Georgia.
