NRF Asks Retail Employees to Dream Big
Plenty of people get their start in retail jobs. Many continue in the retail industry, building great careers. For some, it’s something even more: a passion, a love, a life’s dream. The National Retail Federation and the University of Phoenix are looking to make a few of those dreams come true with their Dream BIG Scholarship program.
Know a U.S. retail employee who is driven to delve deeper into the retail industry? You might want to tip them off about this opportunity. The scholarship will be awarded to ten current retail employees, and will provide them with full tuition at any University of Phoenix campus or online program.
“Whether they’re working in marketing, IT, or finance, millions of people in our industry are living proof that retail career opportunities don’t end at the cash register,” said NRF Foundation Executive Director Ellen Davis. “With over 20 million Americans eligible to apply for this scholarship, we can’t wait to hear the dreams and stories of those who hope to advance their retail career through education, and look forward to making those dreams a reality for ten dedicated people in our industry.”
The winners will have a chance to study business, marketing, finance, communication, organizational security or information systems, all with the goal of furthering their careers within the retail industry.
The application process is ongoing through April 9th, but only the first 1000 eligible applicants will be considered. If you know someone who’d be perfect for the Dream BIG Scholarship, send them to the website soon.
