NRF Announces ‘Retail Means Jobs’ Finalists
Back in February we brought you the news that the National Retail Federation (NRF) was putting together a campaign to demonstrate how vital retail is to the U.S. economy. The organization sought out videos from business owners across the country to put a face on the story of retail.
Now the organization has filtered the entries down to the top 10, which are currently going head to head on the campaign website. We have to admit: even knowing how essential the retail industry is, the top ten videos make some very compelling arguments. They’re worth a look, if you can spare a little time—and you don’t need to be an NRF member to share your $0.02 on which video should win.
The top ten includes the following business owners:
- Jim Adams, Falls Road Running Store, Baltimore, MD
- Tanna Dang, Eden in Love, Honolulu, HI
- Carina Donoso, Alex and Ani, Providence, RI
- Robert Houston, Anna and Eve, Oak Brook, IL
- Susan Kaufman, Market Alley Wines, Monmouth, IL
- Harrison Kressler, Bookmans, Tucson, AZ
- Mark Plessinger, Frame of Mind, Columbia, SC
- Deirdre Shaw, Monkee’s, Wilmington, NC
- Kim Williams, The Polka Dot Press, Tallahassee, FL
- Julie Wurr, Heart ‘n Home, Laurens, IA
Don’t wait too long—the finalists will be pared down to 5 come Monday.
