ICSC Grows; RECon Approaches

The International Council of Shopping Centers has grown a little larger this week: the Nordic and Italian councils of shopping centers have signed on with collaboration agreements. That makes it official: the members of those two councils are now full members of ICSC.

From Shopping Centers Today:

“Our influence at the European level depends on our members’ commitment and also on our size,” said Alexander Otto, chairman of ICSC’s European Board. “This is a further step towards a strong and more global ICSC in Europe that is no longer limited by national boundaries. It is also an important signal for other National Councils to follow the example of the Nordic Council, the Italian Council and the German Council of Shopping Centres,” said Otto, who is chairman of the board at Germany’s ECE Projektmanagement.”

Speaking of ICSC, have you noticed that RECon 2013 is coming right up? The Early Bird deadline for registration is December 7. If you know you’re going, you probably ought to sign up now while it’s cheap.
