ICSC and IFA Match Retailers and Vacancies
If you haven’t kept your ear to the ground for goings-on in the International Council of Shopping Centers, you might have missed a valuable new tool that’s out there to make your lives (or the lives of your center’s leasing managers) much easier.
The ICSC teamed up with the International Franchise Association to release an online matchmaking portal a couple months back. It’s designed to make life easier for franchise companies looking for real estate and landlords and brokers looking for new retailers.
It’s a pretty sophisticated tool, one that lets current ICSC and IFA members list their available properties for free. Retailers can list detailed needs, and property managers can include information on location, size, ownership and demographics.
The tool has only been available for a couple months, but it’s already seeing good use. If your center has any lingering vacancies, check it out.
