Leasing News: September 20, 2012


  • Galleria at Tyler snagged a great tenant last month: Teavana Tea Emporium. The 783 sq. ft. location delighted shoppers at its opening by giving out free samples of all its top tastes.
  • Glendale Galleria just welcomed a Charlie’s Philly Steaks and a S.Y.L.K. – 854 sq. ft and 2621 sq. ft. respectively. Charlie’s will be a welcome addition to its market, bringing classic Philly food across the nation. S.Y.L.K. is a women’s contemporary boutique that aims to be relevant to every woman.
  • Moreno Valley Mall shoppers have a new reason to visit their mall: all 43,700 sq. ft. of Round1, a Japanese entertainment center. It features bowling and other entertainment: billiards, karaoke, arcade games and a lot more.
  • Malibu Country Mart is hard at work bringing an exciting new dining option to its shoppers: Mr. Chow, the internationally known upscale Chinese restaurant. It’s just the latest addition to a global selection of cuisines—traditional Italian, authentic Greek, and many options from closer to home.
  • Westfield Valley Fair is adding to its already impressive collection of luxury brands with, Burberry, TAG Heuer and Wolford. They join a well-established luxury wing with Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Mont Blanc and Tiffany & Co.
  • Fashion Island has a different sort of fashion joining its tenant mix: 32,000 sq. feet of Whole Foods, certainly one of the most fashionable grocers on the block. It’s bringing something new, as well—the national debut of its Tea Hive, a fusion cafe and tea bar.
