Top Ryde City Turns One(ish)
A first birthday may not carry quite the cachet of a fiftieth, but it’s something special nonetheless. Top Ryde City has actually been around since 1957, but who can blame it for knocking a few years off to celebrate the anniversary of the completion of phase three of its redevelopment?
The party is this Saturday, and everyone’s invited. The center planned the ultimate kids party, including tea cup rides, a jumping castle, a petting zoo and pony rides. Face painting, clowns and fairy floss round up the all-day events for the younger crowd.
There will also be special events throughout the day. Flame throwing, pop-up parades and circus acts will entertain the crowd. DJs will be on-hand with live music. For tasty birthday treats, shoppers can participate in cookie and cupcake decorating, and then they can work off the calories with a Zumba demonstration.
