The Glades Invites Doctors and Nurses onto the Catwalk

Last year, we saw a number of shopping centers invite breast cancer patients onto the runway for breast cancer awareness fashion shows. This year, Glades Bromley is going a step further. The shopping center has invited patients back to the catwalk, but it’s also extended the invitational to the doctors and nurses who treat them at the Chartwell Unit of Farnborough’s Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH).

Funds from the ‘Breast of Friends’ fashion show – which will showcase the hottest autumn trends – will benefit the PRUH’s Lymph Node Analyser Appeal, the cause that has been selected by the Glades as its nominated charity for a period of 18 months. The hospital has already purchased the analyser, but it needs continued funding to resource it. The Glades events will help keep it going.

The center is also bringing back its popular Bra of Inspiration, which allows donors to pin a paper rose to a giant bra poster in tribute to a friend or loved one. And retailers at the center are planning their own fundraising events to coincide with the center’s campaign.
