Survivors Model for Breast Cancer Awareness

Cause marketing campaigns have years of history and range from relatively superficial tactical partnerships, to long-term, strategic alliances that penetrate deeply into business and nonprofit organizations.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and shopping centers are always some of the strongest supporters of the cause. This week, we look at the Glades’ breast cancer awareness events which are sure to be a blast.
The UK shopping center is dressing up for the event, with retailers filling their windows with pink displays and retail staff dressing to theme. But they’re not the only ones working on wardrobe. Kicking off the mall’s autumn fashion shows will be a one-night-only fashion show, modeled by breast cancer survivors . The event will feature real women of various shapes, sizes and ages who’ve been treated or are being treated for breast cancer at a local hospital the Glades is teaming up with. The shopping center is also bringing back its popular annual “Bra of Inspiration.” For a small donation, shoppers can purchase red silk roses to affix to a super-sized bra display as a tribute for those in their lives that have been affected by breast cancer.
