Shadow Lake Town Center is the Place for Recycling
Shadow Lake Towne Center has a new initiative that’s all about making recycling as easy as possible for shoppers.
As part of its “Your Place” brand campaign, the shopping center has opened up a Recycling Wall, making it “Your Place to Recycle.” And for a lot of shoppers, it will be. As the main destination for many locals, Shadow Lake Towne Center is the perfect place to encourage recycling, and the Recycling Wall makes it super easy.
The center set up an oversized, clearly-marked facade in one of its high traffic areas. The wall opens up to four bins, which accept four categories of recyclables: plastic and aluminum, paper and cardboard, gently used clothing, and batteries and cell phones. The clothes and phones are donated to local charities, and the rest are recycled.
It’s certainly not uncommon for shopping centers to offer recycling solutions, often through participating retailers, but the nice thing about this initiative is its simplicity. Shoppers need no extra guidance, and don’t need to go from place to place – all their disposal needs are located in one convenient location.
