Saks Brings Beauty Help to Shoppers and Survivors

Saks Fifth Avenue is doing something very cool for a great cause: it’s gathered 32 of the top beauty editors from major publications, top beauty brands, and shoppers together as part of a major public awareness and fundraising program for Look Good Feel Better, the charitable program that helps people with cancer address appearance-related side effects of their treatment.

Look Good Feel Better Beauty Editors Day gives shoppers the chance for twenty minutes of one-on-one consultation with experts from publications like Cosmopolitan, Essence, and Vanity Fair for just $30. That’s a deal no matter how you cut it, but that the money goes straight to the charitable program makes it more of a complete and utter steal. The consultations will cover skincare, fashion and makeup trends, inspiration and insider secrets, and specific beauty advice—and as if one could ask for more, each participating brand will provide participants with an exclusive gift.

“We are so grateful for the support we have received to make Beauty Editors Day a reality in the United States,” said Louanne Roark, executive director of the Look Good Feel Better program. “This would not be possible without the support of Saks Fifth Avenue and unprecedented participation from such an incredible list of beauty brands and magazines to support women with cancer on their journey to recovery and health. Everyone deserves to feel beautiful and confident. On Beauty Editors Day, together we want to spread that message far and wide.”

Beauty Editors Day has been around for five years to date, but this is the first year it’s being hosted in the U.S. Selfridge’s London hosts an event each year, also benefitting Look Good Feel Better.
