Running Mall Marathons

Mark Cooper, a 27 year old from Edinburgh, is embarking on a remarkable journey soon, and has been getting a great start at area malls.

Starting at Cameron Toll on March 20th, Mark has been running marathons in the mall. He’s training, and collecting donations, for his upcoming challenge of running the equivalent of 50 marathons in 56 days. He’ll be hitting the pavement all the way from Holland to Spain in an effort to raise money for Headway Group, a charity close to his heart. Headway Group provides support to people who have suffered a head injury or some other form of acquired brain injury such as a stroke. The charity helped Mark and his family when his mother, Sheila, passed away in 1997 from a brain hemorrhage.

Mark is starting his endurance run in one month, on May 1st. With the help of Cameron Toll, Princes Mall, and St. James Centre, he’s hoping to raise £25,000. We wish him all the best in this endeavor.
