Northridge Fashion Center Reflects on 9/11
This month marks the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy. To commemorate the anniversary, Northridge Fashion Center will take part in the 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance, and it is inviting shoppers to join in.
“This is an opportunity for Northridge Fashion Center to unite with the nation as we honor and remember the victims, family members, survivors, rescue and recovery workers and countless volunteers on that tragic day,” said Daniyel Gordon, senior general manager. “Though the enormity of what happened that day never will be forgotten, the spirit of the American people persevered. What better way to show the strength and goodness of our country than on the 10-year anniversary of 9/11.”
The day’s events will give shoppers the opportunity to write messages to those they wish to honor or pledge deeds to pay tribute to the fallen with the 9/11 Tribute posting board. Shoppers can also write letters of support to those serving the country in the army, air force and navy.
They’ll also have a chance to make a difference closer to home, visiting with the Devonshire Police and Fire Department heroes, learning how to get involved with PALS (Police Activity League of Support) and donating time to Northridge Hospital Medical Center & Foundation and Walden Family Services.
