Morningside Opens Doors for Johannesburg Families.

This week, Morningside Shopping Centre opens doors for families around Johannesburg with its exhibition of the 100 Doors Project.

The 100 Doors Project marks the centenary of Jo’burg Child Welfare (JCW). Many of South Africa’s top artists, musicians and celebrities have come together to paint doors for the organization. The images on the doors have interpreted the real life stories of hope shared by the families JCW has helped, and by staff and volunteers. This Saturday, Morningside shoppers will be invited to contribute to the project by painting doors of their own.

Those who’d prefer to simply take in the exhibition rather than participate can do their part as well. Shoppers can vote on their favorite doors, which will help decide which 20 doors will be auctioned off to support JCW’s work come February.
