Mega Mall Gives Hope for Eid

815eidEarlier this week, Mega Mall took time from its busy Eid schedule to do something great for kids who really need it. Inspired by the spirit of the holy month, the center supported a Charity Souk to benefit The Big Hearts Campaign for Syrian Refugee Children.

Launched by Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs Shaikha Jawaher Bint Mohammad Al Qassimi, Wife of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qassimi Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the charity seeks to make life a little easier for 12,000 families who have sought refuge from hostilities. Over Dh6 million has been donated to help give them a new start.

The Charity Souk took place over three days at the center’s Garden Oasis. Shoppers could purchase a wide range of merchandise donated by benefactors, including 120kg of artificial pearls and key chains made with real gem stones. All proceeds went to the children and families.

This was just one part of the center’s Eid activities, with game shows and trivia contests for big prizes, activities that showcased Arabic heritage and culture, and a lot more.

“It is a time of joy, happiness and giving. Keeping the celebratory spirit of Eid, Mega Mall is happy to announce fun-filled activities for the kids, families, shoppers and visitors,” said Saeed bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, Vice President of Mega Mall. “It is a source of immense pride to know that our guests look forward to the Mall’s events each year. With games, promotions and so much more, we know this year’s Eid festivities will be no different. We aim to offer our guests a memorable experience that will last a lifetime.”
