Meals at the Mall go to a great cause
Here’s a great charity partnership event from Southgate Mall: Meals at the Mall.
For three years now, the shopping center has teamed up with Missoula’s Meals on Wheels program for a one day charity event. Many of the center’s food retailers participate, offering 5% of their day’s profits to the Meals on Wheels senior’s program. Shoppers get a chance to dine out for a good cause, and the organization has the opportunity to educate shoppers about the program, which provides nutritional meals each day for local seniors and homebound community members in need.
By all reports, this year’s event was a great success, and Meals on Wheels found itself with many interested volunteers and donors. Sounds like a match made in heaven.
