Lush Takes on the Tar Sands

Lush Cosmetics has taken on a cause that has it up against mall security.

Lush is working with the Rainforest Action Network against the Canadian Tar Sands. Here’s its argument, in a very flashy film (a bit of blue written language and a frame or two of bare rears included):

What set Lush against its malls was a recent protest at its Galleria location that found Lush employees nude protesting with “oil barrel” signs keeping them modest. Here’s a report on that event.

Lush is also collecting money for the Rainforest Action Network with a limited edition Wild Rose Country Bath Bomb. The Wild Rose is Alberta’s provincial flower, and proceeds from sales of it go to the cause. And to ensure the company’s own ecological nose is clean, Lush has committed itself to clean energy through Bullfrog Power and clean transportation with Forest Ethics.
