LUSH Kisses and Tells for Marriage Equality

Cause marketing means, at its core, putting your values forward with your product. LUSH has taken on major campaigns for controversial subjects before, but this one is a more divisive subject than ever.

Over the weekend, LUSH stores across America invited shoppers in to show their support for same-sex marriage as part of its Kiss and Tell campaign. The nation-wide protest asked them to come in and pucker up. The stores were all set up for the kiss-a-thon, with lip prep stations for extra juicy kisses. They also had pre-written postcards ready to sign and send to lawmakers.

Beyond the in-store events, LUSH is using its website to galvanize the campaign. The company has carefully laid out its position on the site, and is collecting signatures for an online position. It’s also got a Kiss and Tell gallery of the event, and invites supporters to post their own images and stories.

LUSH has teamed up with Freedom to Marry for this campaign, and has produced a fizzy Freedom Foamer bubble bar with proceeds going to the cause.
