Kudzu Queens Give Cancer a Kick at Regency Square
The weekend of March 23 a big one for some of the American Cancer Society’s most fervent supports, the Kudzu Queens. This group of green-haired ladies are the dedicated volunteers of the Kudzu Queen Relay for Life team, and they’re also a source of community support for each other and others with cancer or affected by it.
On March 23, the group is being honored at the 2nd Annual Kudzu Queens Kickin’ Cancer Event at Regency Square Mall, with support from both the center and and the American Cancer Society.
The center will be home to more than 20 booths that highlight cancer services, support, volunteer opportunities and more. The Kudzu Queens will be on hand encouraging donations and selling their handmade crafts in support of the cause. There will apparently also be some kind of Kissing Booth and a Cancer Kickin’ Tire. There will also be entertainment from bluegrass group Grassy Divide and possibly even surprise entertainment.
Not only has Regency Square Mall denoted the day Cancer Awareness Day, but every Mayor of local communities has too. It’s a big day for everyone in the area that cares about cancer fundraising.
