Kingdom Shopping Centre Holds Hippo Parade
It’s that time of year again—time for the Great Glenrothes Hippo Parade. And once again, Kingdom Shopping Centre is at the center of this great charity event.
For 2012’s parade, students from 17 local primary schools transformed the parade’s adult hippos. At the same time, 15 local nurseries gave wee baby hippos a makeover. The theme? Friends from across the world.
There is an element of competition here. The crowd favorite from each category will win its creators a great package of prizes including £500 and a year’s sponsorship of the Hippo enclosure at Edinburgh Zoo. Shoppers can explore Kingdom Shopping Centre to find their favorites and vote online for their pick for best.
The event is designed to raise awareness of the vital work undertaken by CHAS, a hospice for children and young people with life-shortening conditions. The organization will also benefit from the parade’s launch party.
