Disney Aims to Raise a Million Memories


Disney is something of a cultural touchstone. Most people have their own Disney memories, whether its of a visit to the cinema for a new Disney film, a beloved video watched over and over, or a trip to one of the theme parks. Given the care the company puts into its retail experience, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear about youths with cherished memories of Disney Stores.

Now the company is hoping to put those memories to good use. It’s collecting one million of them, and if it can reach that mighty milestone it will make a little Disney Magic and turn them into £1 million for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. It’s part of a larger campaign to raise £10 million for the hospital’s redevelopment.

The company is collecting memories through its Facebook page and YouTube channel, where a number of celebrities have already contributed. Here’s one of the first videos:
