Cornwall Celebrities Carve For the Cause
With a week left before Halloween, it’s time to get those pumpkins carved and ready. On Friday, fourteen celebrity carvers will do just that at Cornwall Square, and all in the name of a fantastic cause.
When they sit down to carve, each participant will be presented with a cleaned pumpkin, tools, and 45 minutes. In that time they’ll need to create their ultimate jack-o-lantern masterpiece, because once they’re finished it will be up to the crowds to pick a winner.
Shoppers will pick their winners by putting a $1 coin in the box next to their favorite pumpkins, and all 14 participants have already raised at least $100 in pledges for Hospice Cornwall. No matter who carves the pumpkin of choice, this event will have many winners.
Once it’s over, shoppers can save a little time on their own Halloween duties by buying one of the carved pumpkins or a paper pumpkin to show support (with all proceeds going to the cause).
