Bullring’s Bandaged Bull
The Bullring Shopping Centre bull has seen better days—the poor thing is all beat up. Fortunately the folks from Birmingham Children’s Hospital were there to patch it up, as part of the hospital’s Big Bandage appeal.
Birmingham Children’s Hospital is the center’s charity partner this year, and joining in on the Big Bandage appeal is just one part of that. This Friday, on Big Bandage Day, volunteers at the center will be collecting funds for the hospital in support of the children who are treated there and their families.
Aside from high-profile big bandages like this, Birmingham Children’s Hospital is reaching out to everyone to wear a bandage with pride in exchange for a £1 donation. It’s also providing some great ideas for bandage-themed fundraising events, like the fancy dress bandage party or a bandaged-up runway show.
For supporters both locally and internationally, it’s created the Big Map Wrap. It’s a digital map that marks every point a donation to the cause has been made and wraps the bandage from point to point. With any luck, they’ll have the whole world wrapped up in no time.
